Contract Type FiledJanuary 17th, 2020According to 844.4 Section of 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 P.L. 93-112, amended P.L. 93-516, institutions of higher education must provide auxiliary aids and services to students with documented disabilities and not deny equal access to the institution’s programs, courses, and activities. For a variety of reasons, some students are not able to take adequate notes during class. Audio recorders are a legitimate auxiliary aid to supplement or substitute note taking for some students with disabilities. Students with disabilities who are unable to take or read notes have the right to audio record class lectures for their personal study only.
