NONREIMBURSABLE SPACE ACT AGREEMENT BETWEENSpace Act Agreement • May 22nd, 2020
Contract Type FiledMay 22nd, 2020This Agreement is in support of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) COVID-19 High Performance Computing Consortium, and will allow use of the NASA High-End Computing Capability (HECC) Project’s High Performance Computing (HPC) resources hosted by the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division located at the Ames Research Center. For this Agreement, Partner proposes to use machine learning (ML) models to help determine if repurposed drugs may be effective in treating COVID-19 infections. Researchers will generate a set of 3D drug conformations and use those structures to represent molecules. This will allow an investigation of which known drugs, or combinations of drugs, are predicted to actively respond to SARS-COV-2. HPC assets are necessary to run the significant calculations necessary for this 3D modeling and analysis.
