Memorandum of Understanding Between the Onondaga County Public Library System and its Member LibrariesFebruary 7th, 2022
FiledFebruary 7th, 2022This document reflects an understanding of the major responsibilities of the Onondaga County Public Library System (System) and its Member Libraries (Members) encompassing OCPL CIty (Central & City Branches) along with Suburban Libraries. These libraries serve the public directly, and the System provides services that support the libraries in that role. Onondaga County Public Library (OCPL) is one of 23 New York State systems chartered by the Board of Regents. OCPL was formed in 1975 with the merger of the Onondaga Library System and the former Syracuse Public Library, anticipating that consolidation of services could result in increased efficiency, lower costs and seamless library services for county residents.
