This Agreement shall serve to amend and restate the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement dated December 1998, and any and all amendments thereto, which created the California Statewide Automated Welfare System Consortium IV (“C-IV”), subsequently changed to California Automated Consortium Eligibility System (“CalACES Consortium”). With the mandatory migration of the CalWIN system into the statewide automated eligibility system solution, the existing Joint Powers Authority (JPA) Agreement, and the Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between the JPA and each member county, will both be amended to add the 18 additional CalWIN Counties as new members and officially change the name of the Consortium to CalSAWS. The JPA and MOU must be approved by all 58 County Boards of Supervisors.
