The City’s agreement for sheltering services with the Niagara County S.P.C.A. ended on August 12, 2023. As the SPCA no longer desires to be in contract with the City, the Administration was required to explore avenues for new animal sheltering services. To that end, it has been determined that The Pit Chic, Inc. (“Pit Chic”), a Grand Island, NY based company with extensive professional veterinary experience and over 15 years of dog training, shelter, and rescue experience, can address the City’s animal sheltering needs going forward.
