Currently the billing for insurance payments for ambulance services is handled through the mail which delays filing and reimbursement. We are requesting permission to initiate electronic filing of these claims utilizing the EDI software. By initiating electronic filing we will be able to reduce printing of invoices, envelopes, and postage and will receive the reimbursement for services quicker. The agreement has been reviewed by the county attorney’s office and approved.
