The USDA Forest Service is responsible for providing scaling services for the scaling of National Forest timber sales. In performance of this responsibility, timber sale contracts FS-2400-6 and FS-2400-13 Provisions B6.81 and G.8.1 provides for the Forest Service to accept the scaling services of others, in lieu of Forest Service scaling.
