The purpose of this Agreement is to provide an orderly working relationship between Ontario’s teaching hospitals represented by the Council of Ontario Academic Hospitals, hereinafter CAHO, and the residents of these teaching hospitals represented by the Professional Association of Ontario Residents, hereinafter. To facilitate the relationship between residents and hospitals, so that the shelters are reasonably compensated for the duties they perform as hospital employees, while at the same time being able to take advantage of the training programme that each individual home enjoys. Acknowledgement Article 1: a) It is agreed that the Professional Association of Ontario Residents represents all residents, regardless of their source of funding at Ontario teaching hospitals, savings and except research residents, as defined below, for the purpose of negotiating terms and conditions of employment at these professional hospitals.
