As public research institutions AAU and BB are subject to various rules that have an impact on the university’s collaboration with industry. These include Danish public law, i.e., the Public Administration Act and the Public Records Act, as well as the Danish Data Protection Act, the General Data Protection Regulation and the Danish Health Legislation where relevant. Additionally the university is subject to specific legislation applicable to universities, such as the Act on Universities, the Act on Inventions at Public Research Institutions and the Act on Technology Transfer etc. at Public Research Institutions.
