The Government of India, Ministry of Railways has applied for a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) toward the cost of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan towards payments under the Loan Agreement No. ID- P209 & ID-P229. The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) intends to appoint contractors and/or firms for Design and Construction of Train Protection and Warning System (TPWS) works for double line track with 2 x 25kVAC, 50Hz, overhead catenary system capable of operating at a maximum train speed of 100km/h.
