FiledJuly 24th, 2023This Annex shall be for the purpose of calibration and processing of engineering-quality imagery data related to the Blue Origin New Shepard launch system and propulsion components as requested by Blue Origin. The goal is to provide calibrated temperature data from the New Shepard BE-3PM engine nozzles and provide a time-resolved nozzle temperature profile during liftoff through main engine cut-off. The New Shepard vehicle performance data will be acquired by Blue Origin and its contractor, MARS Scientific, Inc. during ground testing and/or during launch/flight from ground-based sensors. NASA will support these efforts using remote sensing subject matter experts (SME) and Scientifically Calibrated In-Flight Imagery (SCIFLI) services from Langley Research Center (LaRC). This Annex supports NASA’s 2022 Strategic Plan and Strategic Objective 2.2: Develop a human spaceflight economy enabled by a commercial market.
