Contract Type FiledApril 25th, 2014This Protocol supplements the Programmatic Agreement among the Bureau of Land Management, Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, and the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers Regarding the Manner in Which BLM Will Meet Its Responsibilities Under the National Historic Preservation Act [hereinafter the national Programmatic Agreement (nPA)]. It describes the manner in which the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming will interact and cooperate under the nPA. As a condition of the nPA, the BLM, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) and the National Conference of SHPOs (NCSHPO) mutually agreed that the BLM will meet its responsibilities under Sections 106, 110 (f) and 111 (a) of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) through the implementation of the mechanisms agreed to in the nPA rather than by following the procedure set forth in the !CHP’s regulations (36 CFR Part 800).
