Contract Type FiledFebruary 22nd, 2018The purpose of this Agreement is to promote research and training in next generation cell manufacturing technologies (the “Research Area”) and through interaction with industry to stimulate technological innovation through Membership in the Center for Cell Manufacturing Technologies (CMaT) (hereinafter referred to as “Center”). GTRC is a tax-exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (Code) and is a supporting organization of the Georgia Institute of Technology (“GIT”) under Section 509(a)(3) of the Code. Employees, independent contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and student assistants of GIT will perform the research and training activities of the Center. Accordingly, establishing and operating the Center furthers the tax-exempt charitable purposes of GTRC, which functions as an extension of GIT.
