The current labor agreement between the City of Shaker Heights and Ohio Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association Patrol Officers and Detectives expired December 31, 2021. The bargaining unit members continued to work under the terms of the expired contract as the negotiation teams worked toward a tentative agreement. The resilience of the bargaining unit negotiations team to persevere until a tentative agreement was reached came to fruition on February 18, 2022.
