FiledDecember 18th, 2018In accordance with Title 49 of the Utah Code, participating employers are required to utilize the Utah Retirement System Defined Contribution 401(k) Savings Plan on behalf of Tier 2 employees (those initially hired on or after July 1, 2011). Also, participating employers are required to allow Tier 2 employees to make elective deferrals to the Utah Retirement Systems Defined Contribution 401(k) Savings Plan. Employers are permitted to participate in any or all of the Defined Contribution Savings Plans (401(k), 457(b), Traditional IRA, Roth IRA). Employers should have clearly defined personnel policies outlining additional non- elective and /or matching contributions, above those required by Utah Title 49.
