This past winter, the Davenport County Sanitation District (District) required the services of Sala Brothers Water Trucking, in order to truck in potable water to the Davenport community. For your Board’s information, it is necessary to purchase potable water during rain events because the water treatment plant is not capable of treating water when the water turbidity levels from Mill and San Vincente Creeks become too high. In the coming year, the District is planning to begin work on replacing its existing water tank to eventually increase storage capacity, but for the short term we expect to continue to truck in water during various rain events.
