The Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (in future CLARIN) is a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (in future ERIC), which was initiated with the vision of making digital language resources and tools accessible in Europe and beyond via a digital platform to support researchers in the humanities and social sciences. Currently 21 countries are full members and three are participating as observers of CLARIN ERIC. The signatory institutions are committed to Swiss participation in CLARIN and are therefore initi- ating the establishment of a Consortium.
