Area IV Development, through Snowy Owl Commons LP, is constructing a new affordable senior rental community named Snowy Owl Commons along Twyckenham Blvd., east of Old 231 South. The project consists of 50 2-bedroom units in 11 one-story buildings, a community room, fitness center, pickle ball court, fenced dog park, accessible raised gardens and an outdoor pavilion. All the units will have wi-fi, front porches, rear patios and attached garages and be accessible or adaptable for persons with mobility impairments. Units will be income restricted for households with incomes at or below 30%, 50 % or 80% of the area median income. The development is utilizing HOME funds, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, READI grant funds, tax abatement and additional private funds.
