We are four students from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Helsinki, Finland). Within the course Application Development Project we choose to enhance Pakistan's education in cooperation with NOKIA. Pakistani's education situation is alarming. According to UNESCO, 1 out of 3 Pakistani children of school age can access to education, and among those who can, a third drops out at 5th degree. However, the government spends less than 3% of its budget to education. Then we think that today, living standards can't improve for those people without education and especially without English skills. So we decided to develop an application to provide basic English vocabulary for Pakistanis teenagers. We had the idea for one of our 3 features to program a task improving the pronunciation.
