In the original Agreement the OWNER contracted with ENGINEER to prepare a design for expansion of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) design average flow capacity from 8 MGD to 10 MGD. The scope of that expansion design included unit process design calculations and hydraulic evaluation of the WWTP infrastructure to achieve 20 MGD peak flow capacity through the WWTP. That design included design of hydraulic improvements determined to be necessary from the hydraulic evaluation, addition of one primary clarifier, conversion of the existing aeration tanks to the anaerobic/aerobic (A/O) configuration to achieve biological phosphorus removal, and modification of the secondary clarifier system to increase the peak flow capacity and the return activated sludge pump system capacity.
