This Agreement is made by and between the County of El Paso, (hereinafter referred to as "County"), on behalf of the Juvenile Probation Department, (hereinafter referred to as “JPD”) and the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT EL PASO, (hereinafter referred to as “UTEP”) a component of the University of Texas system located in El Paso, Texas, under the authority and in accordance with the Interlocal Cooperation Act, as set out in Chapter 791, Texas Government Code. This Interlocal Agreement is made in furtherance of the award from the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs under the FY 09 Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program Local Solicitation, (hereinafter referred to as “Grant”).
