Annex Two shall be for the purpose of utilizing NASA's unique expertise in the area of quantum applications for biological simulations under an existing Reimbursable Space Act Umbrella Agreement (“Umbrella Agreement”) with Stanford (SAA2-403497, PAM ID # 30452). Under this Annex, Stanford seeks NASA's support to develop a molecular dynamics engine that will run on quantum hardware for the purpose of advancing biological applications in atomic simulations. This will involve NASA performing all the modifications to the current NASA software including conducting algorithm development and simulations of quantum circuits on standard computational cores and supercomputing hardware. NASA will provide the results to Stanford and then assist Stanford with implementing new features as needed through the course of the agreement. The results from this Annex Two will enable Stanford to conduct resource estimates for bulk water and ATP hydrolysis simulations on near term quantum hardware. Each capit
