Owners of historic properties are able to ensure the protection of their property for future generations with an easement, also known as an Historic Preservation Agreement, granted to Preservation North Carolina. The Secretary of the Interior’s Standard for the Rehabilitation of Historic Properties (1992) will be attached to the Covenants. The actual agreement will be tailored to suit the specific property.
