COVID-19 and congregate housing. Drexel University holds as paramount the health, safety, and welfare of every member of its community. In response to COVID-19, the University has significantly reduced occupancy and density in our residential properties, implemented enhanced cleaning protocols, and redesigned communal spaces to support social distancing. Although Drexel University has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Drexel University cannot guarantee that a student will not become exposed to or infected with COVID-19 while living in on-campus facilities. Further, living on campus could elevate the risk of contracting any contagious illness due to the nature of congregate housing in the residence halls. Every member of our community, including students, must do their part to minimize exposure.
