This study addresses two negotiated Caribbean Sea maritime boundaries that are closely situated: the Republic of Colombia-Dominican Republic boundary and the Kingdom of the Netherlands-Republic of Venezuela boundary. The former agreement was signed January 13, 1978, and upon the exchange of instruments of ratification, entered into force on February 15, 1979.
