When an adult is eligible for funded social care the County Council will assign them a monthly amount of money known as a ‘Personal Budget’. Direct Payments are one way in which all or part of a Customer’s Personal Budget can be delivered. An amount of money is given directly to the Customer who chooses how to spend the money in order to meet their social care needs and help achieve the outcomes agreed in their support plan.
