Minnesota State Interagency Agreement requires that Department of Public Services provide an annual fire inspection of the 11 DOC owned Minnesota Correctional Facilities and of all correctional facilities that the commissioner of corrections is required to inspect and license and or authorize to operate throughout the state whether private or public, established and operated for the detention and confinement of persons detained or confined therein according to law except in those facilities identified by the DOC as having an acceptable fire inspection report from a local fire authority.
