Due to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, certain qualifying generators participating in the AESO’s Renewable Electricity Program (REP) have been offered an extension to the RESA milestone dates. Those projects in the early development and construction phase that had not completed the Key Development Milestones when the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020, qualified for the extension.
