Volusia County Schools provides students with access to computers and/or educational technologies to further the educational goals of the district. Specific schools/classrooms may participate in a program that allows students to use their privately owned, wireless mobile technology to access a Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) network for curriculum use as directed by the teacher. Prudent security measures such as firewall, anti-virus and malware software are recommended on your personal device. Specific schools/classrooms may participate in a program that issues a Volusia County Schools- owned device to students for use at school and at home. To ensure students benefit from educational technologies, they will adhere to the following guidelines, as well as those specified in School Board Policy 518 and other district policies and procedures governing student conduct.
