Dr. Gerhard Heusener has requested a modification to the July 1993 letter agreement between Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and Forchungszentrum Karlsruhe (FzK) [formerly known as Kernforchungszentrum Karlsruhe (KfK)], concerning the exchange of the GASFLOW computer code and related data. He requested that Siemens AG be allowed the commercial use of GASFLOW because of their financial support of the development and assessment of GASFLOW at FzK. With this letter we are seeking the concurrence of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in certain modifications to the “GASFLOW Technical Information Exchange Agreement.” This letter replaces in full my original letter (TSA-10-97-202) on this issue dated March 10, 1997.
