Immediately following the practicum clinical experience, the internship is a site-based experiential component of the degree program. The internship site provides a setting within the community that allows the student to gain counseling experience while under both campus and site supervision. The internship is intended to be the culmination of the degree program as well as the initial step in developing the student’s professional identify as a counselor.
