The Project PhraseoLab, co-funded by the European Union, responds to the need to reduce the existing gap in the systematic promotion of phraseological competence in German as a foreign language. The aim of the project is to provide a freely accessible digital Open Education Resource for learning Multiword Units in German as a foreign language (L3) using English as a bridge language (L2). The Open Educational Resource includes a selection of interactive learning activities in different modalities (text, audio, video, illustrations, and different forms of interaction), a multilingual database of Multiword Units in German, English, Danish, Greek, Polish and Spanish, guidelines for teachers and language learners. The project is based on the pluralistic approach to modern language learning. For this purpose, it focuses not on a single target language/culture but on the interplay of the different languages and cultures of the learners.
