(First) Client offers Non Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) services to Medicare beneficiaries, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and associated laws, rules and regulations regarding the Medicare Advantage (MA) Program require that the Client provide for compliance of contracted network providers and their respective employees with certain MA program requirements including, without limitation, inclusion of certain mandatory provisions in MA provider participation agreements and/or associated documents including agreements between First and subcontracted transportation providers, as applicable. A list of some of these requirements can be found in the CMS Managed Care Manual, Chapter 11, Section 100.4, as published by CMS and available on the CMS website.
