Having met and conferred in good faith in accordance with California Government Code section 3500 et.seq., the City of San Luis Obispo and the San Luis Obispo Battalion Chiefs’ Association hereby agree to the following terms and conditions of employment for the term of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 3523 Memorandum of Agreement dated January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2015 (hereafter “MOA”). Except as specified below, employees in the classification of Battalion Chief will be covered by and subject to the terms and conditions of employment contained in the MOA, effective upon the City Council’s adoption of this Letter of Agreement. Further, it is understood and agreed that by execution of this Letter of Agreement the bargaining unit represented by Local 3523 is modified to include the classification of Battalion Chief and upon execution of this agreement the City no longer recognizes the San Luis Obispo Fire Battalion Chiefs’ Association as a designated employee repre
