The parties have been bargaining for approximately 18 months. A tentative agreement was reached on April 27, 2005. On June 1, the FGCU faculty ratified the collective bargaining agreement in a vote of 140 in favor, and 1 opposed. (The 141 faculty members who voted represented 60% of the 236 faculty eligible to cast a ballot.)
