Jointly funded by Kent County Council (KCC) and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (TWBC) the KHWP which was established in 1991 works to a 5 year business plan monitored by a steering group. The work of the KHWP has a strong emphasis on supporting TWBC with implementation of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Management Plan and in assisting with the management of Council owned sites important to the community and for their biodiversity and landscape including, Local Nature Reserves, Community Woodland and Local Wildlife Sites with a strong emphasis on community involvement.
