St. Johns County was selected to receive funding through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program as approved by the Florida Division of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. These two funded projects are for the purchase and installation of permanent generator systems at the Shores Unit 2 Water Ground Storage Tank and the Bartram Oaks Wastewater Treatment Plant to reduce and/or mitigate the damage that might otherwise occur from severe weather or other hazards. The State will fund 75% of the generator cost with a maximum reimbursement amount of $159,120 for Shores Unit 2 Water Ground Storage Tank and $122,130 for Bartram Oaks Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Scope of Work and Agreement with the State are attached.
