Advanced Placement (AP) Expectation AgreementExpectation Agreement • February 1st, 2019
Contract Type FiledFebruary 1st, 2019The Advanced Placement (AP) Program is a cooperative educational endeavor between secondary schools and colleges and universities. It exposes high school students to college-level material through involvement in an AP course and provides the opportunity to demonstrate mastery by sitting for an AP exam. Colleges and universities may grant credit, placement, or both to students who have taken the exam and scored at an acceptable level. Each college or university determines its own AP credit policy. It is the student’s responsibility to become familiar with these individual policies. Use this course selection period to have a conversation with current teachers about how well you are prepared for the rigor of an AP course. Ultimately, the decision to pursue AP lies with the student and parents.
