FiledApril 5th, 2012The New Immigrant Survey (NIS) is a nationally representative, longitudinal study of immigrants and their children that seeks to provide new data to help answer many of the important questions about immigration and while shedding light on basic aspects of human development. Data from the NIS are useful for addressing scientific and policy questions about migratory behavior and the consequences of international migration.
