Contract Type FiledOctober 24th, 2002When an employee on a scheduled period of vacation is hospitalized or confined to residence for one week or more of such vacation as a result of serious illness or accident, such employee shall be entitled to claim leave-for-illness in lieu of vacation for such days of hospitalization provided that written notice is given to the general director, or designate, at the commencement of hospitalization and subsequent verification is provided on the employee's return and a doctor's certificate verifying length of illness.
