FiledMay 15th, 2000The Hydropower Implementing Agreement is a collaborative programme among nine countries: Canada, China, Finland, France, Japan, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. These countries are represented by various organizations including electric utilities, government departments and regulatory organizations, electricity research organizations, and universities. The overall objective is to improve both technical and institutional aspects of the existing hydropower industry, and to increase the future deployment of hydropower in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
