The aim of the Regional Crisis Prevention and Recovery (RCPR) project is to address the persistence of conflicts and disasters in the region. The project aims to build regional and national capacity to prevent conflict, manage risk, respond to, and recover from crisis. The project will: (i) develop gender responsive conflict analysis methods and approaches; (ii) strengthen national and regional capacity to integrate risk assessments into regional and national policies and strategies; (iii) undertake further analysis of the disaster-poverty interface and their linkages to the achievement of the MDGs; and (iv) restore the foundations of development by providing technical advisory services for sustainable economic recovery.
