On 12 November 2011, Newfield Resources Limited (Newfield) (ASX: NWF) entered into an agreement with Crest Metals Pty Ltd (Crest) whereby Newfield acquired a 70% interest in the tenements of the CrestYard Project. Under that agreement, Crest granted Newfield an option to purchase the remaining 30% interest in those tenements up until 30 June 2013. Newfield hereby advises that Crest has agreed to extend the expiry date of that option by a further 12 months to 30 June 2014.
