The Convention between the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of India for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income was signed in Manila on February 12, 1990. It entered into force on March 21, 1994, upon the later notification of the Philippine government to the Indian government on that date of the ratification of the Convention in the Philippines. Its provisions on taxes apply on income derived or which accrued beginning January 1, 1995 in the Philippines and beginning April 1, 1995 in India.
