This Annex shall be for the purpose of allowing Vertex under Space Act Agreement No. 38651 and Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL) Operations Contract II (NOC II), Contract No. 80JSC024DA024, to support demonstrations, procedure development, pilot training, timeline verification, and operational concept development for off-shore operations including repair and operations of pipelines and infrastructure; and response to off-shore incidents utilizing commercially available Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). ROVs and AUVs are highly complex and technical equipment, operated in remote locations under sometimes harsh environmental conditions. Under pilot control, they execute tasks ranging from simple video monitoring to highly complex tool interfacing and inspection tasks.
