The district is led by the seven-member Saginaw Board of Education and Superintendent Nathaniel B. McClain. There are more than 500 educators and support staff employed by the district. SPSD has 62% of its students deemed economically disadvantaged and one hundred percent of its eligible students participate in the free and reduced lunch program.
