The joint registration of the associate degree/baccalaureate degree program provides Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) students with the first 60 credits of an articulated childhood or bilingual childhood education transfer program leading to a baccalaureate degree in childhood education or bilingual childhood education at the City College of New York (CCNY). The program design allows a student to use the first 60 credits to maximum benefit in preparing for the upper division teacher education program as well as the liberal arts major of their choice. All education majors are required to complete a liberal arts or sciences co-major as well as the professional preparation in education.
