Heads of Agreement New LocalPension Scheme Agreement • January 30th, 2008
This document sets out the final terms of the agreement reached by the Scottish Local Government Pensions Advisory Group (SLOGPAG)1 on the content and operation of a new Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for Scotland. Formed in November 2006, SLOGPAG has taken a collaborative approach towards developing this new scheme - a scheme that meets Scottish needs which has been forged in partnership. All parties have participated equally in an open and transparent process, which has been underpinned throughout by an ethos of mutual respect.
