A “Resident” is defined as a physician-in-training matriculating within a defined period of post-graduate medical education, under the supervision of faculty teachers and/or attending physicians in accordance with the educational standards for residency as defined by the Accreditation Council Graduate Medical Education – Residency Review Committees (ACGME - RRCs) and the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
