A reciprocal agreement is basically a two-way agreement. At SOCAN, we have reciprocal agreements with over 90 different performing rights organizations (PROs) around the world. These agreements allow foreign societies to administer your repertoire in their territories and send all royalties earned by you to SOCAN. SOCAN then pays the monies directly to you. In return, we do the same for them in our territory. SOCAN is one of only a few PROs around the world that does not take overhead off your incoming foreign royalties.
